His Excellency Roland Jabbour OAM, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Victoria, attended the official National Day Reception hosted by the Consulate-General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Melbourne, commemorating the 74th National Day of Egypt and the Glorious 23 July Revolution.

Held at the historic Brighton Town Hall, the diplomatic reception brought together senior representatives from the Victorian Government, the diplomatic and consular corps, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), business leaders, community representatives, and members of the Egyptian-Australian community to celebrate the enduring friendship between Egypt and Australia.

The evening commenced with the national anthems of Egypt and Australia, followed by a presentation highlighting the significance of the 23 July 1952 Revolution and its role in shaping the modern Egyptian state. In his address, the Consul-General reflected on the strong bilateral relationship between Egypt and Australia, recognised the significant contributions of the Egyptian-Australian community, and outlined the Consulate-General's ongoing cultural and consular initiatives.

As Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Victoria, H.E Roland Jabbour's attendance reaffirmed Morocco's commitment to fostering strong diplomatic engagement and constructive relationships with fellow diplomatic missions, government representatives, and multicultural communities throughout Victoria.

The reception provided an important opportunity for diplomatic dialogue and strengthened cooperation between members of the consular corps, government officials, and community leaders, further reinforcing the spirit of friendship, mutual respect, and international collaboration that characterises Melbourne's diplomatic community.
